You can go through Lima (capital city of Peru) or Guayaquil in Ecuador.
From Lima, it is possible to take a plane to Piura or Tumbes, from where we will pick you up. We also recommend to take the bus to enjoy the landscape (safe and very comfortable, 180º seats, food included). Several luxury bus companies drive directly to Mancora from Lima. The bus alternative costs much less than a flight ticket.
From Guayaquil, some bus companies offer to drive through the Ecuadorian border and come down the Panamerican route, which runs through Mancora.
WHAT TO PACK IN YOUR QUIVERBAG?Kite
ideally take a 9-10 sq.m kite depending on your weight and the power of your kite. If you wish to bring more kites, you can take a bigger one (11-12 sq.m max.), and/or a smaller one(but no less than 7 sq.m).
Board
if you have a directional board (with or without straps), it would be much better. If not, a twintip board will be ok (you will still be able to rent our gear).

not necessary when you stay with us.
Wetsuit
for Mancora and around, a lycra or sunscreen will be enough. However, when we go down south, the water temperature drops considerably due to the ocean currents. Therefore a 3/2 wetsuit becomes compulsary.

Dress code
if your plan is to stay with us in Mancora, the only clothes you need are: a pair of flip-flops, your favourite tee-shirt, board shorts, and a pair of sunglasses. This is valid all year round. Also include a sweater (polar or wool) and a jacket for the night (also useful if you stay in much colder Lima). Leave all the rest at home.
In any case, we will suggest the best routes to best suit your itinerary, budget and lifestyle. We can advise you on the best transport companies and assist you in booking domestic flights or bus tickets.
In Lima, we are working with a friendly travel agency, that could welcome you in the capital city and help you to do the transfer to Mancora.
